2016er „La Balade des Lézards“ Rouge | Côtes de Thongue IGP
16,5/20 Jancis Robinson
“Ripe blackcurrants through fresh bay-leafiness and notes of freshly ground coffee beans. Cab Sav is at the steering wheel. Lots of sumptuously ripe blackcurrant fruit on the palate, checked back to dry elegance by seams of lavender, thyme, green rosemary. Tannins tightly stitched and impeccably turned in. Cool Bordeaux meets the fleshy heat of Languedoc in a very civilised encounter.”

“A 60-40 tank-aged blend of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2016 IGP Côtes de Thongue La Balade features scents of mint, violets and cassis. It’s a medium to full-bodied red, framed by softly dusty tannins and a Cabernet sense of reserve and austerity on the finish. It’s more „serious“ than its little brother with no name, and it will have a longer shelf life, but is it really that much better?”
2016er „Salamandre“ Rouge | Côtes de Thongue IGP
17,5/20 Jancis Robinson
“Smells glossy and of expensive oak. Extremely well manicured. Every inch of this wine gleams with polish and fervent care. Like the walnut-and-red-leather interior of a classic Jaguar S-type. Cherry fruit, cigar spice, dried mint and menthol, tarmac and slate and ash. Dry, muscled tannins. Built to race, built of power.”
89/100 Robert Parker
“The 2016 IGP Côtes de Thongue Salamandre reverses the blend of the La Balade, making it 60-40 Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. It also aged 18 months in oak, giving its minty, cassis-laden aromas an extra patina of cedar shavings. Medium-bodied and amply structured, it ably marries dark fruit flavors of cassis and plum with leafy tobacco and mint notes, while coming across as generous yet restrained and almost austere on the finish.”
2019er Montrose Rosé | Côtes de Thongue IGP
16/20 Jancis Robinson
“Very pale peach pink. Cool and shell-like on the nose. Chalky, sun-bleached corals, a suggestion of tart raspberry, lovage leaf and pink grapefruit zip. Elegant and very restrained. Just lacks a little of bit length.”
2019er „Prestige“ Rosé | Côtes de Thongue IGP
17/20 Jancis Robinson
“Medium-pale peachy pink with a brush of copper. Spicey nose, ripe peaches, fresh strawberries. Delicious fruit on the palate! Like a bowl of freshly picked strawberries drizzled with ruby-grapefruit juice. Touch of shells and white pepper and ground ginger that builds towards the finish. Appetising acidity. Perfect balance of acidity, elegant dryness and fruit.”
90/100 Robert Parker
“A pale, coppery rosé, the 2019 IGP Cotes de Thongue Rose Prestige features scents of crushed stone, alpine strawberries and fresh limes. It’s medium-bodied, with a fine tension or tautness that runs through the palate, giving vibrancy to the refreshing, citrus-stained finish.”
